I only arrived in Dax at 11 PM on a Tuesday and was happy to find a bar open to grab a beer. Just staying for the night, but walked the old city the following day to get a glimpse. Great stop over en route from Grayan-et-l’Hôpital de in Medoc to Pau and onwards to Spain Picturesque small market town on river Great walk along riverside and photo opportunity on wide pedestrian bridge Old spa and historic houses within walking distance Try the local department store with amazing metalwork baulastrade and atrium .... with small Carrefour speciality food section inside like a top of food range at M and S ideal for sourcing a picnic to sit by the banks of the river

Very close to the center of town, to restaurants and all kinds of shops. The hostess is very friendly and goes out of their way to make you comfortable and happy. There is a great supermarket about two blocks away that carries multiple varieties of items including clothing, house items and pharmacy.MarioUnited States

The beds and pillows were amazing. The room was spotlessly clean. The best reason to stay at this hotel is the Spa. For 15 euro you can spend the morning or afternoon downstairs in the thermal baths. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. We were on bicycles and were able to store them securely in baggage room. The rooms are spacious, the beds super comfortable. The bathrobes and slippers added a touch of luxury. We highly recommend this hotel.
