I only stayed one night before heading back to the UK, but the hotel was really nice. The staff were friendly, and the hotel is situated really close to a lot of bars and places to eat.
Parking was on the road, and was free which was a bonus and there was plenty of room to park our large pickup.
the hotel is also really close to the beach.
the channel tunnel is only a short drive away too so it is excellent if you are travelling early.

All was good but after we left at 06:00 and specifically stated we did not require breakfast, paid the tax and received the invoice - when I got home I received an email with the invoice for breakfasts and money was illegally removed from my bank card

We arrived very late in the evening and had to catch the Shuttle very early the next morning so did not have a chance to explore Calais Old Town. What we did see however would certainly persuade us to stay longer the next time.

Calais has always been a 'stopping off ' point'. But,it has improved over the years. The hard and restaurants are always a delight. The War museum is very interesting and worth a visit.
We are not beach people, but it looks nice.

We ate at Family Pub which is a friendly, open-all-day spot.
We ate at Family Pub which is a friendly, open-all-day spot. Calais is small and a pedestrian-perfect town. We hit it on a very windy weekend. We stayed at the Lighthouse Inn from booking.com. Claire was wonderful. She had valuable insight on places to eat. Her apartment is ultra clean and modern with all the latest tech with massive big beds. Plan to return.

We didn't stay long enough to be able to give a decent review of Calais, just 48 hours. We did really enjoy it and will happily return. There were a large selection of restaurants to choose from, some large, slightly out of town hypermarches, and some boulangeries that we enjoyed. We enjoyed Le Bleriot Beach, even in February. We visited Dunkirk and even crossed the border into De Panne in Belgium. We discovered that Calais is most definitely a place to visit in its own right, not just for a night before a ferry or a tunnel crossing.

Calais as been revamped, and a lot of money spent on the beach area. Good restaurants!! Especially one called the MOUTON BLANC!! Simple French cooking and cheap. This place could be a great family holiday. Great beaches and nice walks to do. Your not that far from Paris or Brussels with easy access to trains that Serve both capitals. Yes overall good place.
Virtually everything; great location, super value, superb breakfast
(automatic, orange juice making machine 🤗) and the assistance at the desk was excellent and much appreciated. Because traveling from Dover to Calais is such an easy way to go, I could easily imagine myself staying there again, and certainly will be recommending it to anyone going to Calais 100 out of 100. 💯
Everything was perfect! The owners were super-helpful and really made us feel like valued guests. The room was fantastic -- Big, clean, interesting, with all the amenities that you would expect from a hotel costing twice as much as this. Breakfast was delicious: simple, but high-quality! I will recommend this to all my friends and family traveling to Calais!
This hotel in Calais was sufficient for our needs and we managed to park opposite. The room was spacious, carpeted and very comfortable with a fridge and tea making facility which is unusual in France. There were several restaurants to choose from in the modern precinct area. It was a only a short drive to the Channel Tunnel around the outskirts of Calais.
We only stayed for one night, we needed a stopover in Calais and this was just perfect. Only 15 minutes drive from the ferry, the 24hr check in service is excellent and worked out perfectly for our midnight arrival. Hotel is very clean and comfortable, self check in is very easy and straight forward.
Room was very clean and beds were comfortable. Receptionist was exceptionally nice, having remember me checking into another hotel in Calais pre-covid. Basically as central as you can get for Calais - if you need to park, you can for free a short walk away (on the other side of the square).
Welcoming and friendly staff who were very helpful. Even though the restaurant was closed, there were snacks available that meant I did not have to go out of the hotel. The staff at reception on check out were really helpful printing out paperwork needed for the trip from Calais to Dover.
As it Happened the following morning it was pelting rain so I was able to catch the train very conveniently from the city station directly opposite the hotel. I had a lovely evening walk down towards the st Pierre park named for the burgher of Calais from the Rodin sculpture.
An excellent overnight stay, it's clean, it's near main road, it has self check in after desk working hours, no matter how late you arrive, tired after long drive, you have room ready and waiting.
We are coming back to B&B stays whenever is possible.
room was fine, as you'd expect. Comfy bed and clean. We needed a taxi from Calais Ville and staff could not help us so we had to walk with all our luggage. Would be useful if hotel could book a cab for people arriving at the train station.
sensational place. the owners were magnificent, the room was exceptional, the breakfast was wonderful. the whole place oozed pride in itself. its worth the journey to calais alone. I can't rate this small hotel highly enough. thank you
The location is near the train station. The rooms and hotel interior are of a classical style and quite beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast was wonderful, with lots of good choices. The staff were also very friendly and helpful.
Cottage very well appointed. Everything you could need was supplied. Excellent WiFi connection. Near city centre but in a very quiet area. Parking was always available near the cottage. Good communication from the owner.
The owner is one of the nicest gentleman you’ll encounter in France! The hospitality and warm welcome is superb. The building is so unique, historic, and genuine. Location is ideal!! Breakfast was 5-stars!!
Pleasant friendly staff. Located near to Eurotunnel.
Bright and adequate dining area.
Breakfast ok but pricey at 10 euros for mini continental pastries. Coffee good and good choice of yoghurt.
We have been coming for years to this hotel. The main reason is the quality of the bed and the kindness of the personnel. We shall keep coming back every time we cross over to Calais.
We were able to park near the hotel. We could walk to town. It is near a shuttle stop if you are coming from the ferry terminal. It is next to the bus stop . Bed was very comfortable.
