The owner, Carolina, is helpful, kind and a great conversationalist. She solved all our requests. It was great to find this place instead and spend 5 days on this fantastic island. The Convento de São Francisco is a built in a 17th century Franciscan convent. Everything from the warm, personalized welcome you get, the impeccable monastery to the incredible breakfast. Everything was beyond my expectations. We will be back for sure!

La Quinta da Abelheira és una antiga casa d'estiueig i ofereix una piscina exterior envoltada d'una zona de gespa gran. On the morning of my check-out, I was the only guest at the Quinta. However, the breakfast was as big and as vast as I had seen in the photos, I got to try a bit of everything and it was all delicious (the Azorean cheeses are very tasty). Even though I had a late check-in, the front desk staff was very friendly and, on my check-out day, they allowed me to use to use the common areas up until I had to go to the airport for my flight.
